A Writing Challenge: Day 2

Hey everyone! Woo Hoo! I made it to day number two. Hopefully you all did too. It has been such a long day for me today. My husband and I just purchased a new home and today was moving day! I have to say aside from the weather being crappy, I could not have asked for the day to go any better! We got things moved out of storage and into our new house super fast! So for that reason my praise today is this:

Praise: I praise Him because His timing is perfect! Not just for today but with everything! I praise Him because even though I'm the one who makes plans for our days, He is the one who is in control of how each day actually goes. Today was the perfect example of that and His timing for everything was indeed perfect! Whatever your situation, give it over to Him and praise Him because His timing is perfect for every situation in your life!

Prayer: Today's prayer is for comfort. It was so sad to hear yesterday on the news about the shooting that took place at a local college in Oregon. My heart breaks because I feel like almost everyday you hear about something tragic happening on the news. I can't imagine what the family members and close friends are feeling right now. I can only offer my prayers of comfort and peace to those involved in this tragedy. For anyone going through a tough time with anything, here is my prayer for you:

Heavenly Father,
During these times of tragedy we are left hurt and confused. We don't know the reason why certain things happen, but we do know that Your heart breaks for those involved just like ours. In these times, we turn to you for comfort, peace, and healing. Your word says that you are close to the broken hearted and You save those who are crushed in spirit. Thank you for loving us more than we know. I pray that all of those who are affected by this tragedy to turn to You to get them through. In Your precious Name we pray, Amen.
